V/A - KITSUNÉ MAISON COMPILATION 6

galerie Stratique
The Kitsuné Maison selection is back for its 6th edition. Since 2005, the Kitsuné Maison series is basically the combination of what gets played in the Kitsuné offices in Paris, what Gildas & Masaya spin at the few parties they deejay at and what stands out from the promising new contacts they pick up all over the world. If there is a Kitsuné sound, it keeps on evolving towards ever more melody…
or something else. It’s a sound that can be violent, almost aggressive, but also haunting and melancholic… or all of this at once. This time contributions come from Australia, the old Europe, the USA… from all over really. Some of the featured artists are signed and glorious, others are virtually unknown and live in bedsits. Some will release their future albums on Kitsuné and others already have A&Rs
in search of the next big thing biting their nails. Featuring rare & exclusive tracks from Kitsune artists. Including exclusive track from YOU LOVE HER COZ SHES DEAD (aka YLHCSD)

It’s ‘‘Kitsuné Maison 6’’, you can listen to it ‘à la maison’ or anywhere else for that matters.

Melchior Productions - No Disco Future

Pitchfork - Record reviews (8,6/10)

Repetition has always been Thomas Melchior's forte. Like any good minimalist, he knows how to drive a point home by tapping away, favoring patience over force. And after tapping away, in his inimitable style, for a long time now, he's made the best record of his career.

Psychedelic Serge

NOW Toronto - music review

Like many of those putting out the rarities collections currently hitting shelves, the mystery compilers of the Serge Gainsbourg psych set Les Années Psychedeliques 1966-1971 (Le Smoke Disques) appear to have sidestepped all the legal red tape to present a long-overdue selection of the forward-looking French icon’s fantastically fuzzed-out movers and trippy groovers, mostly recorded for film soundtracks.

Having spent years digging for the obscure 7s and LPs from which these tracks produced by Jean-Claude Vannier and Michel Colombier were lifted, I can tell you that assembling a set like this took serious time and effort. Off-the-chain creations like Psychasténie, La Horse, Première Blessure and Chanson Du Forçat really need to be heard.

New Trentemøller single comin soon!!

Just confirmed: Anders Trentemøller will release the next Audiomatique 12" in March 2008!

The record will contain four remixes of Trentemøller's "Miss You", originally taken from his debut longplayer "The Last Resort". One remix done by himself and the others are done by the well known brilliant producers Pascal F.E.O.S., Pole and Lulu Rouge.
