DONZELLE - Parle parle - jase jase

Donzelle
Introducing her first album, “Parle parle, jase jase”, Donzelle serves up the juiciest tunes, most booty-shaking nuggets on which she dishes up or delicately whispers her seductive poetry and rhymes, with all the indisputable finesse of our dear colorful Quebecois slang. On “Parle parle, jase jase” Donzelle brings together an impressive cast of producers and composers of international calibre. Featuring Chilly Gonzales on « Kébeoké »; Pierre Crube (Numéro#) on « Pedigree » and « La bière sur les gamines »; Figure 8 (Omnikrom) on « Frencher »; Wolfgang Vini (We Are Wolves) on« Michel »; Giselle Numba One (fhe famous Hot Springs leader) on « All dick no balls »; LX (Radio Radio) on « Hottentote », and many more. « Parle parle, jase jase » also features the talent of singers and rappers such as Omnikrom, Numéro#, The World Provider, Julie Jones, Poney P. (Georges Leningrad), Spoek Mathambo ( South-African rapper, SWEAT.X / Playdoe), as well as a choir constituted of her fabulous and now infamous onstage dancers (on the juvenile-generational hymn « Baby Boomer »).

Melchior Productions - No Disco Future

Pitchfork - Record reviews (8,6/10)

Repetition has always been Thomas Melchior's forte. Like any good minimalist, he knows how to drive a point home by tapping away, favoring patience over force. And after tapping away, in his inimitable style, for a long time now, he's made the best record of his career.

Psychedelic Serge

NOW Toronto - music review

Like many of those putting out the rarities collections currently hitting shelves, the mystery compilers of the Serge Gainsbourg psych set Les Années Psychedeliques 1966-1971 (Le Smoke Disques) appear to have sidestepped all the legal red tape to present a long-overdue selection of the forward-looking French icon’s fantastically fuzzed-out movers and trippy groovers, mostly recorded for film soundtracks.

Having spent years digging for the obscure 7s and LPs from which these tracks produced by Jean-Claude Vannier and Michel Colombier were lifted, I can tell you that assembling a set like this took serious time and effort. Off-the-chain creations like Psychasténie, La Horse, Première Blessure and Chanson Du Forçat really need to be heard.

New Trentemøller single comin soon!!

Just confirmed: Anders Trentemøller will release the next Audiomatique 12" in March 2008!

The record will contain four remixes of Trentemøller's "Miss You", originally taken from his debut longplayer "The Last Resort". One remix done by himself and the others are done by the well known brilliant producers Pascal F.E.O.S., Pole and Lulu Rouge.
